The Board of the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council has awarded Minnesota State and AcademyOne 1st Place in their 24th Annual Best Practices Competition for the development and implementation of the MyCPL credit for prior learning portal. The competition recognizes, highlights, and promotes innovation and ingenuity in the application and execution of interoperable data standards for business processes.
“The collaboration lead by Mary Beth Lakin, Executive Director, Credit for Prior Learning Assessment Network (C-PLAN) for the thirty-three Minnesota State Colleges & Universities, the smart technology applications and industry knowledge provided by AcademyOne, and the laser focus on solving a specific business problem has created one of the best processes I’ve seen for CPL. Success like this, achieved through an intuitive systemwide platform implemented and in production, is not easy to accomplish and takes tremendous team effort, but is proof that when learners are put first, everyone wins. The PESC Board has voted and awarded this project its 1st Place Best Practice Award. Congratulations to all involved in this project! Job so well done!” -Michael D. Sessa, PESC President & CEO
