ACADEMYONE IS YOUR PARTNER IN ADDRESSING THESE IMPORTANT TRENDS SO YOU ARE BETTER PREPARED FOR TOMORROW.
1. THE WORLD IS OUR GLOBAL CAMPUS
Learning is everywhere. Learning is a currency we value when articulated and devalue when we don't or can't or won't. This is a voluntary exercise managed by institutions today. How an institution includes learning outside of class is just as important as what is learned in class.

2. CREDENTIALS EVOLVE LIFE-LONG
Credentials are not stationary or static. They follow us no matter where we go. Educational institutions most valued, will be those that blend learning into a composite experience. They make learning relevant. Institutions will help students find their learning identity through relationships life-long.

3. CURRICULUM ALIGNMENT
Curricula will need to align better. State higher education departments are making this happen now. Interstate alignment is coming.
Public, private and independent educational institutions will partner and align curriculum more and more across borders, oceans and continents spanning language, culture and learning environments. New shared data systems will evolve to track academic progress across borders.

4. NEW OPEN TECHNOLOGIES WILL EXPAND RESOURCES FOR LEARNERS THREATENING THE STATUS QUO OF “SINK OR SWIM.”
Institutional governance and funding will swivel as policy initiatives further penetrate the barriers of learner success. Diversity of learners is a strength, not weakness. Resources allocated to support advising and guidance will increase. Student support services and academic progress will be challenged by the diversity of a learner's background, aptitude and confidence.
Access to independent resources to support expanding and more diverse needs will evolve through new collaborative efforts to leverage technology solutions that can bridge institutional program offerings and experiences.

5. THE DEMAND FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCE AND SUCCESS WILL GROW.
Today, 145 million people are enrolled in higher education worldwide. Yet billions aspire to attend higher education world-wide. This remarkable demand will stretch fiscal and human resources more as the calls for efficiency, cost savings, and accountability grow louder. Governments realize the value of improving educational attainment is directly tied to mobility and commerce. And, they will put their muscle and energy into influencing student success.

6. ADULTS AND CONTEMPORY LEARNERS ARE THE NORM.
Learning is life-long. Adults and contemporary learners will make up the majority of enrollments, moving the traditional college experience to the margins, making it even more expensive to attain. With less students channeled through high school coming thru the doors of higher education, it means there are less resources to cover external activities outside the classroom.

7. TECHNOLOGY WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT EDUCATION DELIVERY, ASSESSENT AND RESPECT.
New tools that interoperate across institutions will enable learners, faculty and advisors to have better perspectives on direction. Disclosure, exploration and discovery will be enabled by using common systems, definitions and workspaces that link together. The horizon will continue to move as knowledge expands. As institutions join forces, transparency will improve through collaborative efforts to share technology platforms.
