GENERAL INFORMATION

AcademyOne is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. As you plan your visit to our office location, please review some of the following local hotels, restaurants and area attractions. We are 40 minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport and about 30 minutes from the Amtrak Wilmington Train Station. We are right off of Route 202 and Route 322 West Chester bypass. WEST CHESTER, PENNSYLVANIA

The area was originally known as Turk's Head, after the same name located in what is now the center of the borough.

The town of West Chester has been the seat of government in Chester County since 1786, although it was not incorporated until 1799. West Chester was settled in the early 18th century, primarily by members of the Society of Friends. The Court House, located in the heart of town, is a classic revival building designed in the 1840s by Thomas U. Walter. Mr, Walter was one of the architects for the Capitol in Washington, DC.

West Chester today is part of the rapidly growing suburban complex surrounding Philadelphia.
